Three fresh, vibrant exhibits: "Pop to Pattern" in our street-level gallery featuring the work of Mark Brosseau, David Cedrone, and Mark Holland, "Disruptive Narratives" in our downstairs gallery featuring Miranda Mims Sawyer and Caren Stansell, and "Eco-Friendly" in our small-works gallery showcasing the work of Kristen Mode.

Movie Night with Tryon Theatre

We are thrilled to announce the next installation of our popular Art Movie Fundraiser with a pre-movie reception to be held at the gallery followed by popcorn and a movie at the Tryon Theater. This time we will be looking at the wild life of modern abstractionist, Jackson Pollock in the film Pollock, featuring Ed Harris and Academy Award winning supporting actress Marcia Gay Harden playing his counter part and the equally talented Lee Krasner.

Reception 5:30pm-6:45
Film Starts 7pm
Tickets: $40 each (includes the reception, a small popcorn, and the feature film)

Camp Bloom: ages 8-9

Spark your child’s curiosity and imagination! Join us for the Upstairs [Artspace] Summer Art Camp, Camp Bloom: Sparking Imagination Through Discovery! designed to encourage self-expression for children who enjoy experiences in the visual arts. Enhanced by exploration of the Upstairs June exhibition, Pop to Pattern, students explore the artworks up close learning and creating from the experience and environment around them. Using the elements of art students investigate the creative process through a variety of different art media and approaches both traditional and contemporary. Let your child’s imagination bloom under the encouraging guidance of artist/art teacher, Cathey Stoney. With over twenty years of teaching experience in public schools, Mrs. Stoney works to foster creative instincts helping cultivate artistic expression.

Three new exhibits: "Earth To Table," a collection of clay artists curated by Wyndy Morehead in our street-level gallery, "Imaginary Topography: Fragments," by artist Sondra Dorn in the small works gallery, and "Show Me Your ID," an exploration of identity curated by Sherry Masters.

Artist Walk & Talk, Opening Reception: "Earth To Table," "Imaginary Topography: Fragments," & "Show Me Your ID"

Join us for the opening reception of three new exhibits: "Earth To Table," a collection of clay artists curated by Wyndy Morehead in our street-level gallery, "Imaginary Topography: Fragments," by artist Sondra Dorn in the small works gallery, and "Show Me Your ID," an exploration of identity curated by Sherry Masters.
