SPONTANEOUS INTENTION: BARBARA FISHER, KENN KOTARA, RAND KRAMER

SPONTANEOUS INTENTION: BARBARA FISHER, KENN KOTARA, RAND KRAMER

August 11, 2018 - September 21, 2018

There is an inherent tension between spontaneity and intention. Fisher, Kotara, and Kramerbalance this conflict, vacillating between risk and excess, chaos and order, impulse and intent. The process is both intuitive and thoughtful, directed but fluid, combining a serendipitous approach with an underlying knowledge of the formal elements of painting. Their work, framed via similar process, can be to some degree deconstructed, revealing the artist's inner thoughts and actions. Emphasized by particular materials and personal narratives. Fisher, Kotara, and Kramer contribute a layered meaning and poetic expression through Spontaneous Intention.

On Saturday, August 11, join us for informal Walk & Talk with the artists beginning at 5 p.m., followed by a reception, 6 - 7:30 p.m, with refreshments, cash bar and live music.
