What does my child need to wear?

Campers should wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty or soiled with art materials. Please be aware that some art materials, such as acrylic paint, can be difficult to remove from clothing. Closed-toed shoes and an old shirt/T-shirt labeled with your child’s name to protect clothing is a good idea.

What types of artwork will my child see?

Campers will observe and respond to the artworks based on themes and  ideas noticing how each artist uses materials as they express their ideas.  Campers will use and develop an understanding of  the  elements of art, such as colors, shapes, lines, pattern, textures, and composition  to create  their own masterpieces!

What types of artwork will my child make?

Campers will have a chance to use a variety of art materials including media for drawing, painting, and mixed media collage.  Projects and creative expression opportunities are based on themes and inspiration from  the Upstairs current exhibition.  Themes within the gallery exhibit include Pop Realism, whimsical world, abstraction, and Impressionistic animals. Symbols and ideas your child may work with include numbers, letters, florals, animals, patterns, and abstract shapes.
