Upstairs Artspace is a 3,000 sq. ft. contemporary non-profit art gallery in Tryon, NC. We exhibit two- and three-dimensional fine art and craft by leading artists from the Carolinas and the Southeast, and sometimes other parts of the US, in three gallery spaces.
The Gallery has a long-standing reputation for art that is of the highest quality, can be avant-garde, and is always collectible. Many artists are established in their careers, but we also look for emerging artists making fresh, innovative, and provocative art.
The exhibits, developed by an Exhibits Committee and guest curators, change every six weeks and often focus on a theme.
Celebrating 45 years, Upstairs Artspace is an integral part of Tryon’s venerable art history and is a force in the contemporary art scene.
