Opening Reception

With great enthusiasm, Upstairs Artspace welcomes lifelong educator, conservationist and photographer Martha Strawn to the gallery for an immersive, consequential, and remarkable showing of her most recent body of work this fall. Strawn’s solo show, The Phenomenology of Water, will open Sunday, Nov. 1 with a free community reception from 2-4 pm. It will feature photography and video that beautifully capture her lifelong passion for conservation, ecology, and water — the culmination of a long personal project of connecting water and consciousness. It will be augmented with a newly-published book that represents the contents of the show, available for purchase in addition to prints.
