About the event
Upstairs Artspace will showcase the artwork of North Carolina artists Connie Bostic and Steve Mann Aug. 19 - Oct. 8. The artists’ reception will be Friday, Aug. 25, starting at 4:30 p.m. with a Walk&Talk. Bostic’s exhibition – Walking Naked In The World – will be a retrospective of her life’s work and will include about 60 pieces of two-dimensional art. She is one of the most well known and influential artists of Western North Carolina. Her paintings often address subjects such as equality, justice, and inclusion. Mann is an established commercial and creative photographer. In addition to photographing other artists’ work, he has also done extensive editorial photography for magazines such as Explore!, WNC, Thread, Carolina Home & Garden and Verve. His exhibit – Indian Relay – features dynamic black and white photographs of the 2022 Sheridan, Wyoming Rodeo World Championship Indian Relay Race. Join us for wine and light hors d'oeuvres, and a really interesting pair of artists!
